To order I can be contacted on PH: 8987 1437 after 5.00pm each week day or I am available on email at Please make sure you have checked your dress requirements in the ADA Examination Handbook for 2010.
Take note that leotards are compulsory for girls and singlet tops are not acceptable, Ballet Tights are different in colour to Jazz, Tap & Hip Hop styles, appropriate shoes will need to be worn etc.
Correct attire is a must.

Just a note to let you know that due to ADA dance examinations being held on the 19th and 20th of September, all dance classes on Monday 20th September will be cancelled. All teachers will be involved in the examinations this is why all classes will be cancelled; these classes will be re-credited next term. Please ensure that you mention it to others involved in ADA just in case I’m missing them their emails. I will also post this message on the Town Hall noticeboard, the Arafura Dance Association facebook site and on Gove online.

Also a big thankyou to those who attended the special meeting last night in relation to the amendment of the ADA constitution, the amendment was unanimously passed, which is all good.

Bye for now. Liz (ADA Secretary)

Just a reminder that the Term 4 sign on will be on Saturday 2nd October 9am to 12 midday, outside the Qantas office, in Endeavour Square. This years ADA Committee have decided after many comments from parents that each child will receive a trophy at the end of the year. As Arafura Dance Association is a non profit organisation it has been decided that the cost of the trophies that all children receive will need to be added to the Term 4 payment. We will ensure that it is a minimal payment, but a trophy the dancers will be proud to have.  The ADA concert will be held on 26th, 27th and 28th November at the Town Hall, Miss Rachael, Miss Sharlene and Miss Melissa will commence working on dances for the concert now that exams are over. Emma Clay one of the ADA volunteer Committee, will be contacting dancers and parents soon, as we will need parent Costume co-ordinators from each dance class to sort out the Costumes.  A big thankyou to Lesley, Miss Rachael, Miss Sharlene and Miss Melissa for all the hard work they have put in to get so many dancers ready and prepared to do their dance examination/s, also thanks go to the volunteer parents who gave up their Sunday and/or Monday, & took time off work to help with exams. The examiner from Australian Teachers of Dance (ATOD), Ms. Dawson is a particularly well experienced examiner and conducts dance exams around Australia as well as in various countries around the world, so we were particularly lucky to get her for our first exams using the new dance syllabus. Ms. Dawson believes that the exam results, medals etc will take about 3 weeks to get to us. We will let you now when they arrive.
