The Gove Peninsula Festival (GPF) is the single largest community event in Nhulunbuy. The festival aims to promote a sense of community by way of public involvement and creates a family atmosphere. In the past it has been a key fundraising and membership drive for many local clubs and organisations.

The 2009 GPF Committee is seeking expressions of interest from all Community Groups, Sporting Clubs and Organisations that may be willing to actively participate in this year’s festival.

The proposed events and entertainment for the festival include but are not exclusive to:

  • Float Parade
  • Food Stalls Galore
  • Live entertainment ALL DAY 10am to Midnight.
  • Exciting displays
  • A Kids Zone - where the kids can play or chill out !
  • Side Show Alley
  • Art, Baking, photographic and more competitions (Just like the town show competitions we all remember as kids !)
  • Culmunating in a BIG NAME BAND at 8pm, live on stage.
  • Lots, lots more to come !!!

The Gove Peninsular Festival is YOUR festival. The more involvement we have, the more successful and enjoyable it will be. If you would like to further discuss The Gove Peninsula Festival or to get involved, please contact me on 0421 160 784 .
