Bringing Gove Together

GAA at Garma Festival

Gove Amateur Astronomers will be at the Garma festival again this year.
This will be the 3rd year running that we have attended the festival and it just gets better each year.
This year we expect to take over 600 people on a guided tour of the night sky.
The tour will be a blend of Yolngu Creations stories written in the stars, Not quite as Ancient Greek tales of hero's & Gods written in the stars, blended with the science of astronomy and some celestial navigation.
The tours are followed by observing sessions through the club telescopes by GAA Volunteers.
Will do one tour on the Monday open night where the Nhulunbuy community are invited to Garma for the Grand Finale.
I hope to see you there on the open night.
