Bringing Gove Together

Rosters & Single persons accommodation at Gove.

I have spotted a job on Rio Tinto's website for a position at Gove that has my name written all over it. I am an ex Rio Tinto/ Pilbara Iron employee, & I have been on more mine site's than I have had hot dinners. I have been told the roster is 4 on, 4 off. Is the roster made up of 2 days, 2 nights, then 4 off? Or is it 4 days, 4 off, 4 nights, 4 off?

Also, what is the accommodation for singles without dependants like? Is it camp style, or is it subsidised accommodation in town? If it is subsidised, how much per week?

I am keen to find out more?

Regards,

Andrew

The standard shift roster is 2days 2 nights 4 off but there are MANY other rosters that a few people work.
Single mans accommodation is a camp. GAMs, meaning small permanent rooms with bathroom and kitchenette. Enough room for a tv, couch, bed and it comes with a desk. Meals are provided by Gove House. There are no worthwhile common facilities appart from the laundry.
